Obituary of Edith Georgina Dunphy
Edith Dunphy of Quispamsis, wife of the late Al Dunphy, passed away peacefully in the loving care of Bobby’s Hospice on Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at the age of 84. Born is Springhill, NS, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Ina (Spence) McAloney. Edith is survived by her children, Lyndia Thomas (Howard) of Quispamsis, Ricky Neilson Hayden (Wendy) of Toronto and Larry Beaton (Carolyn) of Fredericton; sister, Eleanor McAloney of Saskatoon; grandchildren, Tracy Brewer (Tim), Natalie Beaman (Robert), Heidi Phillips (William), Amy Hayden, Timothy Hayden, Chris Beaton and Julieanne Beaton; great-grandchildren, Edison, Eliesha, Michal, Evelyn and Adrien. She was predeceased by one sister, Evelyn Corkin. Resting at Rothesay Baptist Church, 30 Vincent Road, Quispamsis, with visitation on Friday, September 21, 2012 from 9:30 - 11:00 AM, which will be immediately followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. A reception will be held following the service, at the church. Interment will take place in Springhill, NS. Arrangements are entrusted to Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, (506) 849-2119. For those who wish, donations may be made to Bobby’s Hospice.
