Obituary of Kevin Charles Walsh
Kevin Walsh passed away peacefully on September 23, 2012 at his home, the Dr. V.A. Snow Centre. Born on October 5, 1962 in Truro, NS, he was the beloved son of George Charles and Shirley Ann (Teed) Walsh of Quispamsis. Kevin was a graduate of KVHS. Following graduation, he created his own summer business called “Specialty Landscaping” before going off to attend Dalhousie University that fall. Kevin went on to earn a degree in business from UNBSJ and furthered his education at the University of Waterloo where is earned a masters degree in Applied Environmental Studies. Upon completion of university, he was employed as an economic development officer in Grand Bend, ON. Prior to his illness, Kevin was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, archery, golfing, skiing, mountain biking, hiking and windsurfing. He will be sadly missed. Besides his parents, George and Shirley, Kevin is also survived by his sisters, Catherine Walsh Landry (Bernie) of Rothesay and Carla Bowes (Paul) of Quispamsis; as well as special nieces, Alicia Bowes, Amanda Bowes and Céline Landry. The Walsh family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to the loving and caring staff of the Dr. V.A. Snow Centre. The excellent care provided to Kevin and the compassion and support shown towards his family will never be forgotten. As per Kevin’s request, no visitation will be held. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 171 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, on Friday, September 28, 2012, at 10:00 AM. A reception will be held immediately following the Mass, in the church hall. Arrangements are entrusted to Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, (506) 849-2119.
