Obituary of Roger J. Small

The death of Roger Small of Rothesay, beloved husband of Joan (McIntyre) Small, occurred Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Blacks Harbour on February 25, 1946, he was son of the late Richard and Thelma (Moses) Small. Prior to his retirement, Roger spent many successful years in automobile sales. He was also a skilled carpenter and cabinet maker who took great pride in his furniture creations. Besides his loving wife, Joan, Roger is also survived by his children, Kelly Conley (Bill) of St. Stephen and Kevin Small of Pennfield; step-son, Jon Tracy (Shelley Freemantle) of Quispamsis and their son Austin; sister, Morna Linton (Wayne) of Winnipeg and aunt, Velma Bagley of Moncton. Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, (506) 849-2119, with visitation on Thursday, November 15, 2012 from 7-9 PM and the following day Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Vigil prayers will be held Friday at 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 171 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, on Saturday, November 17, 2012, at 10:00 AM. A reception will be held in the church hall immediately following the Mass. Interment will take place at a later date.
