Dear Marjorie & family,
Just want to pass along my condolences to you. I happened to notice the name Doug Murray in the obits and when I read who his mom & dad were I realized who he was. I'm not sure if you remember me, Marjorie. You and I think it was Barbara borrowed my grandmother's photo album to copy some of the Murray pictures. Doug's grandfather, Peter was a brother to my grandmother, Mary (Murray) Belyea.
My thoughts and prayers are with you. Melody Mullen

Mr. Murray(lol) Took me a few days to able to put something down on paper. Its hard to believe its been almost 40 years since we met.
I can remember meeting you for the first time back in 1982 and thinking Jesus he's the size of a tank(lol)
We certainly have a lot memories and a lot of laughs over the years Doug.
quite a few people over the years have said to Christine that she married someone like her father. I'm not sure but I always took that as a very high compliment(lol)
You certainly have touched a lot of people over the years Doug and I know myself I always strived to be like you
Its comforting to me to know you are not suffering anymore and you are looking down on us with that gleam in your eye and that big smile you always had saying its going to be ok.
I picture you with a rum in one hand(or coffee cause the good lord knows you liked your coffee lol) and maybe even puffing on a good cigarette
As I say see you later as someday we will meet again I want to make this pledge to you and that is I pledge to look out for Marge your lovely wife of over 50 years who along with all of us is suffering the most right now and that I will help and assist as it is needed. She will be in good hands Sir
I will always keep a memory of you in my heart Doug
Love always Chris Muise

I have held off writing this, I have no words of what to say that will even touch on the emotions I am feeling.
I am supposed to say Goodbye but somehow holding off lets me hold on. Love you Dad!
You are going to be missed, I know things just wont be the same for myself and the rest of the family without you, To say you were a strong man is a bit of an understatement, I only hope I can prove myself to be close to the person you were, I can only try Dad but knowing your watching over will keep me on my toes!
We shared laughter and had so many good times, Ill always remember as a kid if I was crying your line "you want to cry Ill give you something to cry for" always as a bit of a joke...Dad...you made me cry this time, I miss you Dad.
Always loved and remembered, Doug, Mary, Shauna and Chyanne.
P.S. Say hi to Jeff for me, I know he would be there with open arms

HE IS GONE- David Harkin
You can shed tears that he is gone
Or you can smile because he has lived
You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see him
Or you can be full of the love that you shared
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday
You can remember him and only that he is gone
Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what he would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
We love and miss you so very much, so proud and thankful that you were chosen to be our Dad and Poppy.
.
Our hearts will be forever full thanks to the love you created.
Love you eternally!
Christine

Sending my heartfelt sympathy to the Murray family. We met way back in 1965 and Ross and I shared many great times with Doug and Margie, many laughs and cheers. Keep the memories close to your heart. Hugs to all of you and know I am a phone call away. Doug had a big smile and was a good friend to many and he will be sadly missed.

Rest In Peace Uncle Doug. You were a firecracker, you were my favourite. Even though we didn’t see each other as often as I’d have liked every single moment I had with you brought laughter and joy. I’ll never forget my visit with dad where you bribed me with a six pack to eat Lobster for the first time lol. You were the absolute BEST.
