Rita was a loving, caring, faithful Christian woman. She always remembered my brothers, Bob and Art at Christmas time, she always brought them some present to put under their tree. Arthur was quite sad when he heard of her passing.
Rita always sent me Easter, Christmas and Birthday cards. I will miss her cards.
She is in a much better place now.
Condolences to Jeff and Steven and family and friends. May you have many happy and good memories. From Marilyn J. Ganong

Our sincere condolences to the family of Rita.....What a lovely picture with her ever present smile. Lots of memories of Rita while being at St. Augustine Church activities years ago and more recently while visiting my Dad (Alan Kelly) at Shannex Parkland. I always made sure I had my pen and paper handy while going to the Shannex Dining Room, so we could continue to update and share a few notes, while waiting for our meal. Rita was a good, long-time friend with Mom (Doreen Kelly) and also visited our home in St. Andrews a few times during Mom's end-of-life stay with Leonora and I here. Although we will all miss Rita, I am very sure that her and Mom will reconnect and continue to share lots of stories and laughter together!!..... Sincerely, Jamie Kelly and Leonora Rago

What a gift to heaven. We first met Rita in the early 70’s as we, the new Priest for the parish and our growing family, settled in our new home. Rita became the parish secretary while the office was still in the rectory. Her early morning smile, often some home baked goodies for the children and lovely manner and office efficiency and friendliness was always something to look forward to in the mornings. Leslie loved Rita’s genuine friendship . On her breaks she taught her the skill to knit in colours for a child’s Mary Maxim sweater. And although the years past, whenever we would see her again, usually at a church event, she was the same sweet smiling friend of our youth. Rest well from your labours dear Rita and rise in glory.

Rita volunteered at the Salvation Army when I rented an office there.
She was a kind, warm and humerous person.
She loved her family and spoke often of them.
I peeled potatoes, sorted donation, and played skippo over my lunch hour with Rita and the staff.
They were great days.
Sorry to you all .You will miss her. I believe she is dancing in a heavenly body.

Rita was not only my sister, she was also my best friend!! We shared many happy times together, when we were young, as well as in our "golden years"" Laughter, tears, and some silliness too!!
We always kept in touch, phoned each other, visited each other, sent cards to each other. Rita was such a caring, kind and loving person.
I miss her deeply

In the late summer of 1972, our family moved from Manitoba to New Brunswick. As our home was not yet built, I spent some time at Aunt Rita's, helping to mind Jeffery and Steven, weeding the garden, and learning how to bake a sour milk chocolate cake. Rita was a strong, hard-working, caring woman who I admired greatly. She has often crossed my thoughts over the years, usually leaving a smile on my face as I recalled some comment regarding a recent event or family escapade. Her faith, and work in the community was and is an inspiration to those of us left behind. Thank you for the memories, Rita. Love, your niece, Joanne.
