Obituary of Paul Joseph Cummings
On Saturday, May 15, 2021, after a lengthy battle with cancer, Paul Cummings passed away peacefully at Bobby’s Hospice in Saint John NB, with his family at his side.
A proud North Ender, he was the son of the late Sterling and Clara (Purtill) Cummings.
Paul will always be remembered by his family and many friends as a nonconformist in the truest sense of the word. From an unconventional lifestyle to the lights of Vegas, playing the ponies and keeping up with the latest football pools, he loved new adventures against all odds.
After receiving his BSc from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Paul moved to Vancouver and pursued a successful sales career in the commercial glass business.
He enjoyed a lifelong camaraderie with his many close friends and truly loved visiting and being with his family. He also had great memories of the times spent with his aunts, uncles, and cousins on the family farm (The Moosehorn) in Southfield, NB.
He will be greatly missed by his sisters Elizabeth (Gordon) Aucoin (Montreal), and Rose (Pat) Lenahan (Quispamsis), his brothers Mike (Betty) (Sussex); Walter (Glenda) (Quispamsis); Lew (Moncton); Gerard (Cheryl) (Sussex) as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his sister-in-law Anne MacIsaac.
Funeral arrangements are in the care of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (506-849-2119). As per Paul’s wishes, there will be no public visitation. There will be a private family memorial at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances in memory of Paul may be made to Bobby's Hospice.
