Phillip was one in a million. A loyal & true friend to all. He enjoyed life to the fullest and took great pride in his wife & family & dearly loved his grandchildren. Phillip & I became friends in 1974 in Liverpool and although life took us to different locations when we did reconnect it was as though we were never apart. Phillip did all that he could do and he will be dearly missed by those of us who had the pleasure to be in his midst. Well done my friend, rest in peace. Gary B.

With love, Charlene and Bruce

Dear Rose and kids, So, so sorry Philip had to leave us far too young. He was one of a kind. He never failed to turn a smile into a laugh. Memories will stay close to my heart, especially my little childhood crush on him when he and Rose were dating. Rose, remember you are not alone. Such a loving family and favorite sis to lean on. Be with you very soon. Take care of each other and speak of him often. Love from Carol and Laurie.

Dear Rose, Pam, Heather, Cathy and family, Thinking of your father with fond memories. Philip was a generous and caring man who was a good friend to my grandparents, as well as my family. He was especially supportive to Troy and I after our dad died. He also made sure that I got to the church on time by acting as chauffeur for my wedding. My dad was not alive then so Philip was a great stand-in for him. He and I had a few chuckles the day before Pam's wedding when we had a practice run for the father-daughter waltz at Pam's wedding. I guess he felt safer dancing on my toes than the bride's. These are some of the memories that I think of when remembering Philip and my great times with his girls. Those happy memories will comfort you during the sad days ahead. There will come a day when the memories evoke only smiles and no longer tears. With much love and warm hugs from Nicole, Alexa and Patrick Purcell. Xoxoxo

Jim Minard posted a condolence
Dear Rosalie, I just came across Phillips obituary, I hadn't spoken to Phillip for many years and the last that I'd heard from him was in 2007 when my mother passed away. Phillip was a good and honest man and no one knows that better than you would. I'm glad to see that he was able to able to be closer to his grandchildren while living in New Brunswick. I remember seeing you and the girls nearly every Sunday at Church. It's hard to believe that they are all grown up now with families of their own. My own two children are both married now. Nick is in Sylvan Lake AB while Julie is in Mississauga ON. Take care & best wishes. Jim Minard minard58@hotmail.com
