Dear Pierre, Louise and Josee,
It's been a long time since I've seen or had contact with any of you since the 60's, but I remember you all - including Victor, and your parents. I remember him most as a quiet, likeable young teenager dressed in an army cadet uniform. It seems impossible that the Victor I knew has passed away. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Sarah and Stefan, huge hugs for you both. I’m so sorry for your loss. Your father, and Sue, will forever be part of the foundation of my psyche and my heart. I experienced a lot of growth in that welcoming home. I remember the day I met your parents but I can’t remember a time when I didn’t know them. I will always remember the warmth, the laughter, and the intelligence. “Holding court” and parties—that’s Vic!

Vic’s children, siblings and friends. My sincere condolences on the loss of your dad and brother. I met your dad prior to his employment with WCB. Another coworker Allan Cromwell and I, would meet for lunch at the old Smittys pub. Soon after Vic joined us at the Board. Your dad was always personable , had that swagger and organized some of our best Christmas Eve parties back in the day. I never knew anyone else who opened their car door to back into a parking space. I teased him mercilessly about that habit. We all have our memories. Rest In Peace ole friend. God bless. Val

My brother Victor was a family man. He loved having people around and share good times, whether in St George, Shediac, Halifax or Quispamsis, as shown by my husband’s photos at:

I miss him already.

Stephan and Sarah,
So sorry to hear the news. My heart goes out to you both. Vic and Sue were always so welcoming - opening their home to all us wondering souls. When I was in my 20's I had a job interview in St.John's. Your parents immediately offered me a place to stay if I got the job. While I didn't have the opportunity to stay with them, I will always remember their generosity. .... I also remember the first time you took James home to meet your parents. Vic was hilarious and James handled it well. I miss them all!
big hugs,
Molly

Sarah and Stephan Margot and I were so surprised to hear of your father’s passing.
Your Father and Mother were great friends we met over 45 years ago through the Corkum’s. We have lots of good memories of our neighborhood get togethers.
RIP Vic you will not be forgotten.

Stefan and Sarah so sorry to read of your dad’s passing. I have great memories of both your parents, while we lived on Highview Place. Like Julie Corkum wrote your dad had the best laugh, made you feel happy. Enjoy your family memories you had great parents.

I have so many memories of Vic as our neighbour on Highview Place in Quispamsis beginning when he was working on his and Sue’s new house next door to us. My parents, Lou and Shirley Corkum invited Vic to dinner with us often and we kids would be quite happy to have him as he always stopped at the French Pastry shop in Renforth on his way home bringing us delicious desserts! When Stefan and Sarah came along we loved having them next door. They were the sweetest kids and Vic was very proud of them.
Vic was certainly quick witted, always coming back with a good retort to the teenage Corkum girls. Vic always listened attentively to our stories. He had the best laugh! Rest In Peace Vic. You had a big impact on us.
