Obituary of Dwayne Clyde Avery

It is with broken hearts that the family of Dwayne Clyde Avery, husband of Stephanie (Robertson) Avery, announce his passing on Sunday, May 8, 2022.

Born in Labrador City, NL on March 26, 1972. He was the son of Clyde and Linda (Butt) of Corner Brook, NL. and is survived by his son Ryan, brothers Lawrence and Scott, uncles; Harold Avery (Lavenia), Colin Avery (Joyce), Nelson Avery (Sharon), aunts; Vera Bennett (Tom), Sonja Avery, Barbara Porter(Jim-deceased), Pretoria Avery, Matilda Luscombe(Pete-deceased), Judy Smith (Graham), Joyce Nichols (Jerry),Kathryn Bowles (Peter) and Karen Oxford (Jerry); mother and father in law Tom and Glenice Robertson, brother in law Brad Robertson (Dana), childhood friends, Scott Burden and Tyler Vincent, in addition to a large circle of cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Dwayne was born in Labrador City, NL on March 26, 1972, but spent most of his formative years growing up in Corner Brook, NL. As a child, he was active in many sports that included baseball, soccer and his true love, hockey. After completing high school in 1990, he furthered his education and received diplomas in Hydraulic Technology and Millwright Maintenance. He was employed with Corner Brook Pulp and Paper before moving to Saint John, NB to work as a Maintenance Supervisor with Irving Pulp and Paper. He enjoyed hockey and was a well-respected coach for many of Ryan’s teams in both Corner Brook and Saint John. He enjoyed being with friends and adored his family. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of being in his company.

Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (506-849-2119) with visiting on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A celebration of life will take place in Corner Brook, NL at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to P.R.O. Kids Saint John.
