Obituary of Lynda Joyce Sharpe
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Lynda Sharpe, wife of Richard Sharpe, announces her passing which occurred on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at Bobby’s Hospice. Born on November 19, 1947, in Saint John, New Brunswick, Lynda was the daughter of the late Robert and Isabella (Brown) Gilchrist.
During her working years she worked as a buyer for Saint John Shipbuilding. She loved to spend time with her family, especially with her beloved grandchildren.
Lynda is survived by her husband, Richard Sharpe; daughter Angela Krettler (Rob), sons; Michael and Paul Sharpe (Erin); her grandchildren: Zachary, Joshua, Ryder, Alice and Jazper, sisters; Isabella Miller (Ralph), and Carol Kyffin (George), and niece Karen Harlow (Larry).
The family would like to acknowledge very close friends; Esther Leslie, Marge Winchester, Barb Philip, Mary Murphy, Carmelle Fournier, who were visiting with Lynda throughout her illness.
Many thanks go out to Dr. Kristofferson, Dr. Grant Burnell, Dr. Naz, Dr. Love, Dr. Demming, Dr. Wildish, the nurses, LPNs, and staff of Bobby’s Hospice, who cared for Lynda through her illness. Accolades goes out to Bobby’s Hospice and staff for the care they give to their patients.
Arrangements are under the care of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Rd. Quispamsis, (849-2119). In keeping with Lynda’s wishes there will be a private celebration of her life at the family home, at a later date. Lynda will be laid to rest at Fernhill Cemetery, Columbarium. Family and friends will be notified on Lynda’s Facebook page. Donations may be given to Bobby’s Hospice or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
