It is with great sadness that the family of Robert (Bob) Bruce Hosford, loving husband of Sandra (Dugan) Hosford, wish to announce his sudden passing which occurred on Saturday October 29, 2022, at his home in Passekeag, NB. Born in Saint John on January 5, 1957, he was a son of the late Delores (Hayman) Hosford.
Bob is survived by his wife Sandra, children; Richard Dollar (Melissa) and Heather Daley (Korey), grandchildren; Christopher, Nicolas, Jacob, Blake, Brooklyn, aunt Alice LeBlanc, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Bruce Mercer, Richard Dugan, Sheron Bettle (Gary), Jimmy Dugan (Kathleen), Leo Dugan (Lynn), Deborah Dugan, Mary Dugan, Trish Saunders, Juanita Kingston (Harold), Jennifer Wetmore, as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Besides his mother, Bob was predeceased by his in-laws, Charlie and Jean (Parks) Dugan, Linda Mercer, and Hugh Saunders, nephew Robert Dugan, and niece Stephanie Gallant.
Bob was employed with the Department of Transportation as a Ferry Operator until his retirement. He was an avid member of the Quispamsis Island View Lions Club for over thirty years. Bob was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with the children and grandchildren; all aspects of sports, especially reading historical biographies, and spending time on the deck at the camp. You could always rely on a good laugh, and he was a very good listener.
There are certain people in this world that have a subtle but meaningful impact on their lives... Bob was one who will be missed by many.
