Obituary of Jean Osborne-Shea
It is with heartfelt sorrow, the family of Jean Osborne-Shea, wife of Bill Shea, announce her passing on Friday, February 10, 2023, at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Born on March 22, 1946, in Charlottetown, PEI, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Lila (Hooper) Richards.
Jean loved children and was always happy when spending time with her grandchildren. Over the years she enjoyed many crafts, a few being; sewing, ceramics, knitting, smocking. She spent many years in the hockey rinks supporting her three boys and loved every minute of it. Jean also enjoyed playing cards and having a good laugh. She enjoyed many years working as an executive secretary at Moosehead Brewery.
Besides her loving husband, Jean is survived by her sons; John Osborne, Langley, BC, Scott Osborne (Jennifer) Shelburne, ON, and Mark Osborne (Shannon) Quispamsis, step-daughters; Connie Shea, Katie (Paul)McRae and Carrie Shea, Saint John, sisters; Donna Richards, Halifax, NS, and Gail (John) Rocca, Saint John, grandchildren; Meaghan, Josh, Bailey, Lake, Van, Evan, and Elena, as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Jean was predeceased by her parents, and her first husband Thomas Osborne.
The family would like to thank the staff at the SJ Regional Hospital in the Palliative care unit who cared for Jean.
Visiting will take place at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (506-849-2119) on Saturday, April 22, 2023, from 10AM - 12 PM followed by a Celebration of Jean's life at 1PM in the chapel. Interment to take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or Charity of choice.
