Celebration of Jacqueline's Life
Obituary of Jacquie Dupere-Hanlon
It is with broken hearts that the family of Jacqueline Dupere-Hanlon, announces her unexpected passing on Thursday, March 30, 2023, in Saint John, NB. Jacqueline was born on February 9, 1965, and was the beloved daughter of Barbara and the late Albert Dupere.
It is hard to summarize in a few paragraphs the impact Jacquie had on the people she loved. She had a bright spirit and ability to light up any room. She loved to laugh, and she loved to express her inner child, which she displayed through her art- many friends, family and acquaintances have had one of Jacquie’s murals on their walls. She especially loved to paint nurseries and children’s rooms delighting in the freedom to paint her favourite cartoon characters and beautiful scenery such as Noah’s Arc, for her son Jayson, when he was a newborn. When Jacqueline was younger, she was an active little girl, who loved to figure skate and was very often playing with her friends or sister Heather. Jacquie had a kind heart and would do anything for anyone, even a stranger on the street. She also had a sense of adventure, going on snowmobiling outings often with her long-term partner and friend, Trevor Hanlon. She took pleasure in her green Arctic Cat snowmobile and sporting her green snowmobiling suit. Jacquie loved music, a gift she had passed on to her daughter, Madison, whom Jacqueline cheered on from the front row for every musical performance- another example of her supportive and warm personality. In her earlier years, Jacqueline successfully finished hair school and went on to work as a hairdresser, eventually taking on the position as the manager of the Sears Hair Salon. She was proud of her children and loved them deeply, giving them each special memories to hang on to such as birthday parties with their favorite theme or trips to PEI. Remember her when you see a mural, listen to music, see a snowmobile passing by, or even when you see a kind gesture.
She is survived by her mother, Barbara Dupere; brother Randy Dupere (Darlene); sister Heather (Yvon) Gallant; daughters, Ashlie Kaye of Vancouver, Madison (Zack Baxter) Dupere of Moncton; son Jayson Hanlon of Hampton; grandchildren;, Brycen, Rylyn and Kinslie Kaye; and we cannot forget about her beloved four legged friends, Tofu and Deeoogee, lastly she had cousins and more family and friends. Jacquie was predeceased by her father, Albert Dupere and her step-father, Francis Rooney.
God was calling you home. He needed
another angel to help pour out the rain.
Tears have fallen, hearts were shattered,
but it was time for you to fly home.
