Obituary of Jim Beyea
It is with heartfelt sorrow, the family of James “Jim” William Beyea, husband of the late S. Bertha (Jones) Beyea, announce his passing on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at Shannex – Embassy Hall, Quispamsis.
Born on June 16, 1935, in Model Farm, NB, he was a son of the late William and Jessie (Fraser) Beyea. Jim was employed at the Saint John General Hospital as an Anesthesiologist, caring for people for many years until his retirement. He was a member of the Hampton Golf course and enjoyed fishing, hunting, snowmobiling and four wheeling. Jim loved spending time at his camp in Shepody, NB, where he would fish and snowmobile with family and friends. Jim was a kind and caring man; he will be missed by all who knew him.
Jim is survived by stepchildren; Kathleen Moore (Brian), Terry MacKenzie (Rose), and Ronald MacKenzie, sisters; Connie Chestnut, Beatric Beckwith, Doreen Saunders, Judy Kellar, and Linda Silliphant (Bill); grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Besides his wife Bertha, Jim was predeceased by his first wife Joyce Beyea, and his brothers; Bert and John Beyea.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (506-849-2119) with visiting on Sunday, August 27, 2023, from 3 – 5 PM. Graveside service will take on Monday, August 28, 2023, at 1PM from Ocean View Memorial Gardens, Latimore Lake Road, Saint John. For those who wish, donations in memory of Jim can be made to Bobby’s Hospice or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
