Obituary of Ramona Geraldine Rankine
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Ramona G. Rankine, wife of the late Robert “Bob” Rankine, announce her passing on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at Shannex, Embassy Hall.
Born on February 23, 1932, in Saint John, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Kathleen (Hall) Price. Ramona was employed with Transcanada Credit, and then retired from the Federal Government after 25 years. Ramona married the love of her life, Bob on May 6, 1955, where they made many memories together. Together, Ramona and Bob loved their kitchen parties, where Bob would play the fiddle, and bowling. Ramona enjoyed many years at their camp in Cambridge Narrows. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend.
Ramona is survived by her daughter Lori Atkinson (Stephen Walton) of Quispamsis, grandchildren; Shala Atkinson and Sean Walton, sister Grace Hickey, sister-in-law Helen Davey, nephews; Michael Davey (Donna), Mark Davey (Rose), Darren Davey, Robert Hickey, Brian Hickey (Kathy), and niece Sharon Bogle, as well as several great nieces, great nephews, extended family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Arrangements are under the care of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (506-849-2119). In keeping with Ramona’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. A Graveside Service will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens at a later date. For those who wish, donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
