Obituary of Anne Marie Loraine McInnis
It is with profound love and gratitude for a godly life well lived that her family announces the passing of Anne M. (Forbes) (Seely) McInnis, wife of the late Sterling McInnis, on Wednesday, March 27, 2024. Her heart's desire was fulfilled when she left her earthly home and entered God's presence with loving family by her side.
Born on June 4, 1932, in Lower Woods Harbour, NS, Anne was the daughter of the late Cleveland and Gertrude (Nickerson) Forbes. She was raised in a God-fearing home and as a teenager recognized that the only way she could be assured of going to heaven was to place her faith and trust in Jesus Christ alone. She met her first husband (Ralph Seely) in Bible school and they ministered together in country churches throughout the Maritimes and New England for almost 50 years.
Anne was a nurturing and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, mentor, and friend. Her nurturing spirit extended to her love of gardening, tending to her roses, and feeding and watching birds.
Anne is survived by her children; Brenda Conrad (Pastor Robert Conrad), Cindy Lake (Pastor Percy Lake), Mark Seely (Kandy), Donald Seely (Sandy), and Pastor Phillip Seely (Jessica), brother Alvin Forbes (Ethel), sister Crystal Copeland (Phil), sister in law Joyce (Merle), thirteen cherished grandchildren, seventy-one great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Besides her husband, Anne was predeceased by her parents, her first husband, Ralph Seely, brothers; Ronald, Merle, and Arthur Forbes, and sister Carol Pierce.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Brianne Castonguay for her excellent care and compassion to Anne over the years. Special appreciation is also extended to several family members who unselfishly sacrificed in order to provide care that was needed. Her homecare givers, Ginny Long and Leeann Donovan brought Anne great joy and also provided wonderful care.
Arrangements under the care of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (506-849-2119) with visiting on Monday, April 1, 2024, from 7-9PM, at First Bible Baptist Church, 218 Hampton Road, Quispamsis.
