Obituary of Carolyn Blucher
It is with heartfelt sorrow, the family of Carolyn Blucher, wife of the late Ronald Blucher, announce her passing on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Shannex, Embassy Hall, Quispamsis.
Born on July 18, 1943, in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Lee (Vincent) Henderson. Carolyn was a Registered Nurse for many years at the General Hospital, then with the Saint John Regional Hospital, in the pediatric unit which brought her great happiness until her retirement. Carolyn was a member of St. David’s United Church, Rothesay, in her earlier years as well as a member of Beta Sigma Phi (various chapters). She enjoyed reading, knitting, playing bridge, and gardening, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and loved spoiling her grandchildren.
She will be missed by her sons; Mark (Melissa) of Quispamsis, Jeff (Stephanie) of Halifax, and Andrew of Calgary, brother Bev Henderson (Cathy) of Saint John, cherished grandchildren; Chase, Max, Kenna, Jack, and Sophie, niece Julie Donnelly, and nephew Nathan Henderson. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Besides her parents and husband, Carolyn is predeceased by her niece Mary Henderson.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation for the love and care Carolyn received during her time at Concorde and Embassy Hall. During her final days, the staff at Embassy Hall were attentive and caring with her and supportive of the family.
Arrangements are under the care of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (506-849-2119). A private family graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery. For those who wish, donations in memory of Carolyn can be made to the Saint John High School Centennial Fund, Henderson Bowe Bursary, or donor’s choice
