I had the privilege of meeting and working with Alan at Pitfield MacKay Ross, my first job after Business College, age 20, as a switchboard operator. Later I got transferred to the cage so did not see him as much. This was way back during the Ground Hog Day Gale. I remember him giving us instructions to stay away from the windows and kept us safe and secure, along with many from the upper floors. My husband was a Diocesan Lay Reader and therefore attended St. Augustine’s when it was a three point parish and again we connected. He was a soft spoken, compassionate man who I always admired. My, he accomplished a lot in life I wasn’t aware of. I will remember him with fondness.
Sincerely
Virginia (Adcock) Brown,

To the family of Allan Edward Kelly:
My sincere condolences to Shawn and his sister and brothers when I learned of your Dad's passing. When our family moved to Fairvale in the late '60's I soon met the friendly Mayor of Quispamsis, Allan Kelly. Both Fairvale and Quispamsis were rather small village back then and I always respected Mayor Kelly as a real gentleman. May I extend my sincere sympathy for your loss and as you keep the memories of your dad, and those fine examples of his life.

My favourite recent memory with Grampy is having him take me to St Martin's, tell stories of his childhood the whole drive, and then both of us being surprised when a huge moose walked right in front of our car! You'll be missed so much Grampy xoxoxo

Dear Lynne, Steve, Jamie, Shawn and families. My sincere condolences on the passing of your dear dad. Alan was a kind and gentle man who always had a smile from ear to ear. In recent years I had the honour of being able to visit him regularly while he was a resident of the same retirement community as mom. I will always cherish the phone calls received from him once a week or so, just checking in to have a little chat. His calls were very touching (always calling me "dear") and it was as though he took on a fatherly role after dad had passed. Alan will be joining many loved ones in heaven. I'm sure Doreen will ask him "what took you so long?". May your memories bring comfort in the days and years ahead.
Much love
Paula Baxter
