We are so sorry to hear of John's passing. John was a very good, loyal, dependable friend for many, many years. Our friendship goes way back to early days of the bus ministry. He will be missed by so many people in a lot of different ways. We extend our love and sympathy to June and the family during these difficult days. Dale and Joyce Shaw

Very sorry to hear of John's passing, I will always remember our time at men's darts and Saturday men's prayer. John was an example to me and really showed me the importance of gathering together outside of Sunday service in the men's ministry get togethers. How we shared/inspired and encourage one another. John was a great example of men gathering together in Christ, for Christ and because of Christ. Love you John.

Dear June, Greg (John), Ellen and Family, What a blessing it has been to have known John . He was a specially good friend to Tim for years & especially during the last years. They loved watching the Red Sox & Blue Jay's compete.& keeping regular accounts of each others favourite teams. We always enjoyed receiving the fully written scripture messages that filled both inside pages of his Christmas cards. He had a gift to share in his faith on our Lord Jesus Christ. He, I understand, took months to write the many cards that he sent out to so many people. He always mentioned all your family names in his closure. It reminded us that you were one with him & to pray for each of you. We do pray for you now too as you grieve his presence but realizing too, that his heart always believed that you will all unite again, around the throne of God. Please accept our sincere condolences on his passing. We will keep in touch June.

To june and ellen and the rest of the family i am truly sorry to hear of the passing of john. he was what u call a man of God. his love for God and his family and the love of baseball or softball and umpiring. he was a true friend to me and also to my family. i will miss him when he came to church(Rothesay baptist) with his Bible in his and also always a great listener to the word and if u had question he was a man u could ask. he was a friend you could pick up the phone or meet in the street and talk to . and when doen he would either give u a hand shake or a john greer hug. i liked those. i will miss him dearly. Thank to you greer family for letting him in my life and being part of it. i will miss you john my friend . May you rest in peace . Enjoy playing ball or umping up there in heaven. May you rest in peace my friend.

We will miss seeing John on Sunday mornings coming in always with a smile no matter how he was feeling . He was always concerned for others and asked how we were and we know he was praying for us -A real prayer warrior has gone on home .
June and family we pray for you as you now navigate life without John , but just imagine the experiences he is enjoying in Heaven , pain free and whole.

I'll miss John every Saturday morning at Men's Prayer and then breakfast at A&W and every Wednesday morning driving him for Dialysis catching up on the latest sports news. And then those never ending stories that he could tell in so much detail when I can hardly remember what I did yesterday. John was always ready to share his faith in Jesus Christ. A great witness he was.

We were saddened to hear of John’s passing . He was such a man of God and an example what a godly man should be . He was so concerned about other peoples problems and made you feel so special when he was speaking to you . He was such an encourager to his friends and very concerned for those that did not know his saviour. We will miss sitting with him at church but so happy for him knowing he is in the presence of his Lord and rejoicing together. Praying for you June and family. Love you.
