I've had a very hard time bringing myself to write this message. Even now after so many months, I don't want to say goodbye. Words are not worthy to express my sadness but I will try;
Mark - you are and will always be one of my closest and dearest friends. I love you very much. I know you are still with me and I will treasure your friendship all of my days. We will see each other one day and I will miss you until that day comes. I know you are not alone and loved ones will keep you company. Until then rest well.
Violet and Cyril - Your son brought light and love to so many lives. His time with us was shorter than it should be but his life was meaningful, to me, and to many many others. The world was enriched with his presence and we are diminished for his loss.
More - You have been the most steadfast and loving wife that Mark could ever have hoped for. In all the time we spent together, it was when he was with you that I saw him to be truly happy and content. From the moment of his diagnosis to today, I can only imagine the darkness you have felt. Please know that Marks light remains in this world, in your heart and in the hearts of all his friends and family. I hope that brings you comfort.

To More and Mark's parents, Cyril and Vi, my deepest condolences to you all.
Mark was truly an amazing, kind, and smart individual who I was lucky enough to work along side at Point Lepreau. I am so thankful to be able to say Mark was a friend and I will miss him dearly. I never thought I would look back and miss our many hours spent in classroom 2, sentiment I am sure he would echo, but he helped make even the long days enjoyable with many memories I will cherish. I couldn't have asked for a better person to learn from and laugh with on a daily basis.
Until we meet again,
"Camergoon"

Mark will always be remembered as person who put others before himself. True friend who was always there when needed no matter what it was. Such friendships, not everyone finds in life and I am truly thankful I had that with Mark. Will never forget our evening drives together, no real destinations, only to enjoy each other’s company.
