Obituary of Marcia McAlpine Macaulay
With heavy hearts, Roby and Vanessa Macaulay announce the passing of their dear mother, Marcia McAlpine Macaulay, at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, August 14, 2024. She was born in Saint John, NB, on January 13, 1933, to the late Dorothy Kedey.
Marcia will be remembered as a devoted mother who was a true blessing from God to her children. Marcia always sought comfort and peace through her strong faith in God, which carried her throughout her whole life. Love being Marcia’s greatest gift to all, she also lived a life full of hope and faith. She was someone who would always show kindness to family and friends and never turned her back on anyone. She was someone that you knew you could depend on at anytime. Always the family cheerleader, Marcia would often be found cheering her family on and encouraging them whenever they needed it. Marcia loved to share a meal and was known for her willingness to share with anyone. Those lucky enough to have enjoyed a meal with Marcia will remember that she had a knack for baking, especially apple pies which were the best pies EVER. Having a gentle heart, Marcia had a fondness for animals, especially horses including her own horse, Goldie. Her sense of humour was also so special, as she could find light in any situation, she truly was a fun person to spend time with and be around. Marcia you will never be forgotten, and you will forever live in our hearts.
She is survived by her children, Roby and Vanessa Macaulay.
Romans 15 Verse 13:
I pray that God, the source of hope will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in Him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.
