On behalf of the Murchie family of St. Stephen, wishing the Merryweather family peace and comfort as you lay your Mum to rest. My dad was Douglas (Durrell) Murchie and he was a first cousin to Dorothy. Dad's mother was Jennie (Finnegan) Murchie who was a sister to Dorothy's father Harold. Dad always spoke fondly of Dorothy and I think they stayed in touch over the years, along with cousins Mae Scott and Henry Johnson. Dad passed in 2011. I remember one time (pre-2008) when my Mum (also named Dorothy), Dad and I met up with Dorothy and Frank for a lovely picnic on the Fundy Trail. I will always remember this visit with her and your dad with much fondness. With our sincerest condolences and love. Judy (Murchie) Mitchell (jmitch@xplornet.ca)
P.S. your Mum has the "Finnegan nose", which one of my brothers also inherited!

Our sincerest condolences to Dot's family. I have wonderful memories of Dot and the family, from babysitting the older children to visits, to wonderful home cooked meals. Betty would have nothing to do with me when I was babysitting her. She preferred my boyfriend. I still make Dot's wonderful oatmeal brown bread recipe. You have our love and prayers at this difficult time.
