Obituary of Tracy Lynn Perkins
It is with heavy hearts the family of Tracy Lynn (Norrad) Perkins, loving wife of Greg Perkins, announce her passing on Friday, May 18, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Tracy was born in Saint John, NB on September 14, 1968 to Shirley (Friars) Norrad and the late Paul Norrad.
Tracy is remembered as a brave, caring, generous and loving woman. She loved her mornings on the deck where she could sip a coffee from her favorite mug. She would listen to the birds singing, update her Facebook posts and send her daily inspirational or humorous messages anticipated by many of her friends. Although Tracy had many friends she especially enjoyed spending time with a group of mothers, "the basketball moms". This group became very close over the years and along many road trips. Her basketball moms held a special place in her heart, as they were always there to support her and her family in any way they could. Above all, family was very important to Tracy and her children always came first. Her favorite destination was Hampton, New Hampshire, enjoying the beach with her husband and kids. Being a stay at home mom, she took pride and enjoyed sending and providing her children with fresh baked goods and treats to any of their outings with friends.
In addition to her mother Shirley and husband Greg, Tracy will be deeply missed by her children, Cody and Delaney Perkins; brothers, Daryl and Bradley Norrad; and best friend of over 40 years, Marlene Thompson; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Paul and her sister Deborah.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) with visitation on Saturday, May 26, 2018 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, with a memorial service immediately following at 1:00 PM for family and friends at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, remembrances in memory of Tracy may be made to Diabetes Canada or a charity of one's choice.
