Obituary of Patricia Jane Mitchener
In the presence of her loving family, the death of Jane Mitchener, wife of Donald Mitchener, occurred on Monday, August 6, 2018, at her residence, on Darlings Island.
Born in St. Catharines, ON, on December 2, 1944, Jane was a daughter of the late William and Dorothy (Keating) Francis. She was a Home Economics teacher for several years in Toronto, ON, then owned and operated the Petals and Greens Flower Shop in Oakville, ON. Jane was a proud member of Beta Sigma Phi for more than 50 years. She was a past president of the Women's Wellness in Saint John and highly involved in the Run for the Cure. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.
Besides her loving husband, Jane is survived by her children; Shaundra Mitchener (David Meehan) of Manotick, ON, James (Carri) of Bedford, NS, and Leigh Beijer (Thijs) of Burlington, ON, grandchildren; Curtis and Dakota Mitchener, Garrett and Mitchell Beijer, sister Carolyn Cain (Tom) of Ottawa, ON, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) with visiting on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Funeral Service will be held at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 1 PM. Interment to take place at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, Fonthill, ON, on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 2PM. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Parkinson Canada, St. Mary's Band or support your local florist.
