Obituary of Leo Paul Joseph Bonnevie
It is with great sadness, we announce the death of Leo Paul Joseph Bonnevie, husband of Gail (Cullinan) Bonnevie on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Born in Saint John on October 4, 1940, he was a son of the late Adelard and Suzanne Bonnevie. Leo was an electrician by trade and operated Bay Electric for the past 22 years, and loved it. He loved a challenge and still enjoyed work at 78 years young. His 5AM coffee meeting at McDonalds, and loved going to breakfast on Sunday with Larry, and then into the flea market to see what was for sale.
Leo loved Sunday suppers with family, planning and cooking the meal and watching sports with them. He enjoyed his travels to Florida and having his family with him for vacation. Leo was married for 53 years to Gail, and their four children; Lynn Reynolds (Michael), Paul Bonnevie (Monica), and their children; Christopher, Natalie, and Sarah, Danny Bonnevie (Sally), and their boys; Kurtis and Kyle, Peter Bonnevie (Kerry), and their children; Dennis and Kiersten. Leo's sisters; Jeanne Fillmore (Frank) of Ottawa, ON, and Yvonne of Saint John, brother Gerard (Alice) of Kingsville, ON, sisters- in- law Bernetta of Hampton, and Molly of Saint John.
Besides his parents, Leo was predeceased by his brothers; Edmond, and Ivan.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) with visiting on Monday from 2-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 74 Almon Lane, Rothesay on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at 11AM . Interment to take place at St. Bridget's Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to The Give - Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation.
