Obituary of Mary Susan MacLean
It is with great sadness that the family of Mary MacLean of Quispamsis, cherished wife of Lloyd MacLean, announce her death which occurred on Monday, December 24, 2012, at the Saint John Regional Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in Dalhousie, NB on September 2, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Bill and Janet (MacMillan) Disbrow.
Mary loved music and took much pride in her daughter’s musical talents and attended many of her sons’ bands concerts. She loved to travel, loved to go for drives, loved to shop and always enjoyed going to the movie theatre and watching television programs. Most of all, Mary loved her family, especially her precious grandchildren who will always remember their grandmother as “Gramma” - loving and playful, always ready to play catch and always ready with a treat. She will be missed dearly and will be lovingly remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Besides her husband Lloyd, Mary is also survived by her children, Angela Murphy (Keith) of Quispamsis, Neal (Erin Bowes) of Riverview and Christopher (Kelly) of Fredericton; grandchildren, Luke and Amelia; sister, Nancie Quigley (Earl) of Dalhousie Junction; brother, Bill Disbrow (Sharon) of Ontario; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Diana MacKinnon.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB, (506) 849-2119, with visitation on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 from 7-9 PM and the following day Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012, from Quispamsis United Church, 372 Hampton Road, Quispamsis, at 11:00 AM.
