Obituary of Mary Anita Lamb
It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Lamb of Embassy Hall - Shannex, Quispamsis, wife of Percy Lamb, announce her death which occurred peacefully on Sunday, January 6, 2013, at her home. Born in Saint John on October 8, 1931, she was the daughter of the late John and Dorothy (Wood) Dunham.
Mary’s working career began years ago in Calp’s office and ended with her retirement from Lamb Ford dealership in Sussex where she enjoyed working with her husband for many years. Along with family and friends, she enjoyed many travelling adventures and especially looked forward to her winters spent in Florida. Mary was an excellent cook and perfect hostess who loved to welcome relatives and friends to her home. She will be sadly missed.
Besides her husband of 27 years Percy, Mary is also survived by her children, Dr. David Burley (Theresa) of BC, Diane MacKenney (Wayne) of Quispamsis, James Burley of BC and Kevin Burley of AB; sister, Donna Evans of Quispamsis; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; step-daughter, Marilyn Cormier of Saint John; step-sons, Larry Lamb (Anna) of BC, Steven Lamb (Marion) of Sussex, Terry Lamb (Lori) of Hampton and Greg Lamb of BC.
Arrangements are entrusted to Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, (506) 849-2119, with visitation on Friday, January 11, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
