Obituary of Lillian Estella Searle
The death of Lillian Searle of Rothesay, wife of the late Warren Searle, occurred peacefully on Sunday, February 17, 2013, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on June 4, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Mildred (Wilson) Roberts.
Lillian took great comfort in living a quiet life. Taking care of the needs of her family was of great importance to her and the special moments together with those she loved were always treasured. In her younger years, Lillian took great pleasure in gardening and also enjoyed reading.
Lillian is survived by her children, Carole Searle (Charlie) of Fredericton, Kathy Ashe (Skip) of the Kingston Peninsula, Ron (Jocelyn) of Bloomfield and Don of Alberta; sister, Muriel Anderson of Renforth and brother, Harold Roberts (Yvonne) of Nova Scotia; eight grandchildren, Debra, Pamela, Jeff, Nick, Mike, Veronica, Katrina and Jason; eleven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Marion Smith and brother, Walter Roberts.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, (506) 849-2119, with visitation on Thursday, February 21, 2013 from 2:30 - 5:30 PM. In keeping with Lillian’s wishes, no funeral service will be held. A private interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery, at a later date.
