Mae and family. I am very sorry to hear that Bob has passed away. When I read your son's remarks in the newswpaper regarding the fantastic work the Palliative care does I was surprised to hear that Bob was ill. He was a wonderful and friendly man around the office. Mr. Sweet (I'll always think of him as that) was an incredible, 'larger than life' father, husband, coach, and hero to so many. I will remember him for his bear hugs (best ever!), his obvious love for his family (and extended family, of which I consider myself a part)and his gigantic compassionate heart. I loved him, and I love you. As I mentioned to Nat, I will remember him with joy in my heart and will be honouring his memory by hosting a special healing meditation at my yoga space with donations going to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Though I have many awesome memories of Bob, the highlight of my teenage years has got to be the three-week camping trip he took Nat, Lis, and I on through the Maritimes. What kind of father does that with THREE teenage girls???? THE BEST of the best. And he was...

Jonathan and Leann Krickler posted a condolence
What can I say about a man whose smile was a large as the man himself. My first impression meeting Mr. Sweet was 'oh crap!' I was a scrawny short sixteen year old and he was a giant to me. Turned out Bob and I both shared a love of hockey. Whew... Common ground. I guess I should have been more concerned about the dog...Ben I think... well at least that scar eventually faded but my memories of Bob never did. He left an lasting impression on a young man and I unfortunately left a lasting impression on his knee. Sorry about that Bob. I'm sure your family misses you dearly. Leann and I enjoyed reminiscing over a bottle of wine the other night, swapping stories, smiles, tears and hugs. See ya pal.

May, I don't know if you remember but Bob taught me how to use a hammer and saw when I was about 4 or 5 years old. I can remember the day like it just happened. He was such a great teacher and enjoyed every moment of it with a good hearty chuckle every few minutes as we went along fixing the front steps of our house on 335 Albert Street in Windsor. What a good man he was. Love Ben

May, my heart saddened when I read of Bob's passing. Truer words were never spoken that he indeed did live a FULL life. You may not remember me; we met while I was at Cooperators as well as through Reg & Eli Hilchie. I always enjoyed seeing Bob come in with a twinkle in his eye, usually telling a story of recently climbing a tree or some such feat! I am so glad you have your family close by & wonderful memories of Bob to share. The photo captures him perfectly. You will be in my prayers. With fondness, Kelly
