Obituary of Keith Farrer Baldwin
Keith Baldwin of Rothesay, husband of Joan (Higson) Baldwin, passed away on April 4, 2013 at his residence. Born in Burnley, Lancashire, England on September 28, 1931, he was a son of the late Arthur and Elsie (Tebb) Baldwin. Educated in England, Keith, Joan and Judi came to Canada in 1957. He served two years in the Royal Air Force, was a past treasurer of the NB Museum, President of the NBICA, past president of the St. George's Society, and was a member of the Riverside Golf Club. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing handball; playing in both professional and city tournaments, also representing New Brunswick in national tournaments. Keith worked as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG, earning his Fellow of Chartered Accountants designation.
He is survived by his wife Joan, and their children; Judi (Dr. Russell) Webster of Rothesay, Jeffrey (Barbara) Baldwin of Kingston, Libby (Donald) O'Brien of Rothesay, Andrea (Donald) Morris of Halifax, grandchildren Maegan, Erin, Julie, Myles, Hayley, Stewart, Reid, Allyson, Andrea, Duncan, Paul, Dawn, and twenty great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Keith was pre-deceased by a son, Stewart, and twin brothers, John and Donald.
In keeping with Keith's wishes, all funeral services will be observed privately. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to Foundation Glycosylation (www.thefog.ca), or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. The funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119).
