Obituary of Valorie McAfee

The death of Valorie (McKnight) McAfee of Quispamsis, NB, wife of George McAfee, occurred on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at her residence. Born on June 30, 1930, in Saint John, NB, she was a daughter of the late Stewart and Frances (Bamford) McKnight. Valorie was employed as a Legal Secretary and then with the School Board for many years before her retirement. She enjoyed baking, playing bridge and painting. Besides her husband, Valorie is survived by her children; Chris McAfee (Cheryl) of Ontario, Leslie Reid of Quispamsis, David McAfee (Beth) of Ontario, and Kelley Piercy (David) of Quispamsis, grandchildren; Amanda, Robin, Bradley, Devin, Erin and Wilson, great-grandchildren; Alyssa and Maryah, as well as several nieces and nephews. Valorie was predeceased by her sister, Shirley McKnight, and her brother, David McKnight. Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) with visiting on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Service will be held at Kennebecasis Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, September 1, 2013 at 2:00 PM.
