Obituary of Berend Hendrik Meijering
It is with heavy hearts that the family announce the passing of Berend "Bay" Hendrik Meijering, of Quispamsis, husband of Karen (Olsen) Meijering, on Friday, September 27, 2013 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on January 16, 1951, in Blijham, Netherlands, he was a son of Martje (Schaub) and the late Teunis Meijering. Berend was employed for several years with Atlantic Industrial Cleaners. He was an avid bowler and fisherman, and enjoyed camping every year in Prince Edward Island with his family.
Besides his wife of 42 years, Bay is survived by his daughters; Krista (Dave) of Saint John, and Katrina (Chris) of St. Stephen, NB, sisters; Susan (Terry) and Patricia (Weston), grandchildren; Kelsea, Dustin, Justin and Jamie.
He is predeceased by his brother, Geert and sister, Titia.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, (849-2119) with visiting on Tuesday, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Memorial Service will take place on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 from Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, would be appreciated.
