Obituary of Dorothy Eileen Stoltz
It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dorothy Stoltz, loving wife of John Stoltz for 53 years, which occurred on February 11, 2014 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by her family. Born in Souris, PEI on March 22, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Bernard and Helen Creamer. Dorothy worked at the Cave Steakhouse in the Colonial Inn for over 20 years, was an avid painter, and enjoyed her Sunday drives. She was an exceptional baker and cook, who never let you leave her home hungry. She loved having tea time; usually combined with a good book. Dorothy was very devoted to her family; they were her life.
She is survived by her husband John, daughters Mindy Stoltz (Nevin), Marlene McLaughlin (Rob) and Melody Edmanson (Tim), sisters Vivian, Valerie and Hope, grandchildren Sara, Jenna, Jeff, Brandi-Lee and Elton, great-grandson Matthew, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was pre-deceased by her son, Kerry John Stoltz, grandson Ryan McLaughlin, and sisters Irene, Beverly, Bunny and Debbie.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119), with visiting on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church on Saturday, February 15th at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences and remembrances may be placed at www.KennebecasisFH.com
