Obituary of Russell Vernard Sutherland

Russell Sutherland of Rothesay, husband of Margaret (Wijntjes) Sutherland, passed away at home on April 6, 2014. Born in McAdam on August 2, 1930, he was a son of the late Vernard and Millie (Phillips) Sutherland. Russell served in the Navy, and then worked for the Coast Guard for many years. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Margaret, sister Marguerite Wright, and his daughters Rhonda Sutherland, Adele Sutherland, Upha Sutherland, Terri Naugle, and Katie Lutes. Russell was pre-deceased by his parents, Vernard and Millie Sutherland. In keeping with Russell's wishes, a memorial service will be held at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances to the Coronary Care Unit of the Saint John Regional Hospital, or the S.P.C.A would be appreciated by the family.
