Obituary of Arthur Joseph McGraw
Arthur "Art" Joseph McGraw passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Born in Tracadie, NB on June 21, 1936, he was a son of the late Clement and Marie (Sonier) McGraw.
Art was employed as a transport driver until 1976 and then was employed with the Dry Dock for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed playing the guitar and singing. Art played his guitar and sang for C.K.M.R. radio in New Castle in 1951.
Survived by his loving wife of forty-seven years, Yvonne (Richard) McGraw, son Darren (Kathy) McGraw, brothers; Frank (Norma), Ernest (Mabel), Guy (Alice), Raymond (Windi), sisters; Lee McGrath, Melina Basque, Ovilda Belliveau, Florida Pare, Letecia Robichaud (Laurier), Laura McGrath (Paul), and Angelina Malley (Adelard), grandchildren; Amanda Flavin, and Michael Flavin, great grandchildren; Serenity, Bearett, Alyta, and Jayden, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Art was predeceased by his sister, Leda Lanteigne.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) with visiting on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at 12:00 PM from Our Lady Perpetual Help Church, Rothesay. Interment to take place at All Saint's Cemetery, Millbank, NB at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the NB Lung Association or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick.
