Obituary of Sidney William Baxter
The death of Sidney William Baxter, of Clifton Royal, NB, husband of Betty (Martin) Baxter, occurred on Friday, May 9, 2014 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Born in Saint John, NB on August 22, 1936, he was a son of the late Sidney and Florence (McHugh) Baxter.
Sidney was employed for over thirty-three years as an insulator with NB Power, until his retirement. He loved fishing, the outdoors, his dog Tie and he adored his grandchildren.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughters; Heather Baxter of Saint John and Tanya Baxter of Moncton, his son Bill (Francine) of Summerville, NB, brother Glen (Judi), sisters; Doreen Stack (Joe), Barb Pitt, and Betty Kuchynski (Len), sister in law Eleanor Baxter, grandchildren; Maggie, Jacob, and Kaleb Baxter, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Sidney was predeceased by his brothers, Ronald (Pete) and Sterl Baxter, sister in law Susan Baxter and brother in law, Eldon Pitt.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) with visiting on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Bridget's Church, 1784 Route 845, Summerville, NB on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Interment to take place at St. Bridget's Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Animal Rescue League or to a charity of the donor's choice.
