On behalf of the members of the Balls lake Fishing Club we wish to express our sincere condolences to the family. Andy was a joy to be around and he shared that joy with everyone. His sole purpose in resigning from Balls lake was to give another a chance to experience the joy of fishing. The HRAA has lost another great one, fortunately so many have had the pleasure of his company and teaching. Andy will be missed. I am so glad I was able to visit him last year for his 95th birthday. He needed no coaxing to remember who I was and he had not seen me in almost 40 years! I remember growing up across the road from our great neighbours, the Dollar family. Andy was well respected by everyone in Quispamsis. There were many mutual family outings. Wayne and Charlie were at our place a lot - playing ball hockey, football, baseball, swimming to Hammond River, long bike trips collecting pop bottles, Our father Daryl and Andy went on several hunting excursions together. Blueberry picking trips. There were fishing trips to the local lakes and especially Colton Brook. Shinny hockey on Mud Lake or Richie Lake. Card games! Corn roasts. Our parents went Legion dances together, especially on New Years Eve. Our family grew up with Andy, Ruth, Wayne, and Charlie just next door. I could go on but tears are starting to form. RIP Andy. Ron, Maura & Madison
