I am so sorry - I don't need to tell you what a very special lady Linda was and I know how much she will be missed by her family and her friends. I will always remember her smile, her gentle way of speaking, her laugh, her devotion to family, and to her students. She loved to read and to cook and Ian, Todd and I all enjoyed her delicious baked goods. Her past few years have been a struggle for all of you and I hope you are finding comfort in knowing she is now at peace and reunited with her loved ones gone before. I truly believe our souls are eternal and that this is only a temporary separation between those left here and those who have passed on. She is watching over all of you. You are in my thoughts and prayers at this sad time. Sincerely, Myrna

Linda Tingley was the greatest teacher and resource a young child could have had while attending RCS. I remember riding my bike up Tingley lane just to stop in for a visit and we would get lost reading and talking. She was also one of the only houses to give full size chocolate bars for Halloween, which made her a community favorite, and there was nothing more exciting then to see a high mark on a test in her class so you could pick out a small prize from her personally bought prize bag for her students. Thank you for everything my dear, you will be missed and cherished in my heart forever.

Sadness and broken hearts make a visit to each of us. No matter how hard we try we can't avoid it. Mums are always special to the family. They are the glue that holds things together, the bed time stories the birthday cakes, the Easter Rabbit and Santa Claus. Mums are magic to a family. To you Harley the main person in your life is gone. I know this journey - it is not easy. We continue on and manage each day with a smile on our face while our hearts break. Linda was a wonderful lady caring for others. The world needs more people like her. We will miss Linda. Stay close together and take comfort from one another.

I had the good fortune to have Linda come into my life at RCS. She was one of the most caring, kind, thoughtful, and hard working individuals I have ever known. She always had a smile no matter what the day would bring. There are so many wonderful things to remember her for but I have to say, her love of cooking was the delight of all staff at RCS. Most of all I will remember Linda for how she loved and cared for her family. We shared many a story, all good, about Harley and her girls. They were her life's interest. I feel blessed to have known and shared a small bit of Linda's life. Now at her peace, may God grant you Harley, Lorna, Alana and her beloved grand children peace.

I was most fortunate to have worked with Linda at both the Alma and Riverside schools. Her smile, wit, and ladylike way of dealing with the daily occurrences of being a teacher never ceased to impress and amaze me. (That and her double-chocolate cookies!) She will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. I believe there's a special spot in heaven for people like her. A true gem.

I feel very blessed to have known Linda as a good friend and as a teaching colleague at Riverside Consolidated School. I always admired Linda for her dedication and love that she poured out to her family, her friends and her students. She made every student in her class feel special with her encouragement and thoughtful ways to make learning fun. She was an exceptional teacher and friend to all her students. My daughter, Stephanie has so many special memories of being in Linda's grade 4. While Stephanie was often waiting for me after school, she and Linda would play "Wheel of Fortune" on the computer and enjoy many laughs. Linda was an exceptional person, kind to everyone, gentle yet strong. Everyone who was fortunate enough to have known Linda will never forget her. We all carry treasured memories in out hearts. It is the wonderful memories you have of a devoted wife, exceptional mother and grammie that will ease your sadness in the coming days. Dawne McLean
