Obituary of Concetta Cipolla
C. Connie Cipolla of Rothesay, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, October 3, 2014 at Embassy Hall, Quispamsis, NB. She was the wife of the late Calogero "Gerry" Cipolla. Born in Sicily, Italy on December 11, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Raimondo and Giuseppina Mirasola.
Connie was a seamstress for several years. She enjoyed bowling, dancing, gardening and loved spending time with family and friends.
Survived by her son Dino Cipolla (Christine) of Rothesay, NB, brother Franco Mirasola (Teresa) of Florida, sisters; Alfonza DiGiacomo of Sicily Italy, Franca Scihilone of Saint John, and Pierina Scichilone (Luigi) of Saint John, grandchildren; Calogero, Francesco (Charlene), Cynthia (Travis Hachey), Angelina Richer (Philip), Santina, Francesa, Dean (Lori Beth), and Jessica, great grandchildren; Isabella, and Franco, son's widow Kathy Cipolla, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, Connie was predeceased by her son Frank Cipolla, her sisters; Giuseppina Licata, and Rosaria Cipolla.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) with visiting on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mark's Catholic Church on Monday, October 6, 2014 at 10:00 AM. Interment to take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
