Obituary of Charlene MacDonald-Hatfield

With deep sadness the family announces the passing of Charlene MacDonald-Hatfield on January 12, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Korbecke, Germany on October 13, 1958, Charlene was the second daughter to James (Jim) and Geraldine (Gerry) Humphrey. Charlene was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. A loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She loved cooking, baking, Johnny Reid and Christmas. Preceded in death by her loving second husband of 26 years, Louis (MacDonald), her father James (Jim) Humphrey and two very special cousins, Judith (Judy) Smith and Rose Kirkpatrick. Charlene is survived by her current husband, Michael (Mike) Hatfield. Her children: Amanda (Shawn) Rouse, James (Katie) MacDonald and Ryan (Alicia) MacDonald. Her mother: Gerladine (Gerry) Humphrey, sisters: Irene (Doug) Goodrich and Wendy (Peter)Wright. Above all else she was a devoted Grammie to Zachary, Cameron and Emmersyn Rouse and Ryan and Christopher MacDonald. She is remembered by her mother in law, Margaret Hatfield, her step children: Luke (Evelyn) Hatfield, Leah (Andrew) Warren and Lori Ann (Sean)Hatfield. Her step-grandchildren: Rebecca, Kara, Olivia and Talon. Her sister in law Pauline (Peter) Pearson and brother in law David Hatfiled. Also surviving are her MacDonald family: brothers in law Manford (Muriel) MacDonald, Dale (Liz) MacDonald and sister in law Isabel (Clarence) French. She is cherished by her several nieces and nephews. Charlene also leaves behind her lifelong best friend, Judy Waite. The family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to St. George Extramural and Laureen Brown for their amazing care and compassion. Resting at Kennebecasis Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB with visitation on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 11:00 am from Kennebecasis Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family would ask that remembrances may be made to the Charlotte County Cancer, Bobby's Hospice or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
