Obituary of George Alexander McAfee

The death of George Alexander "Brud" McAfee of Quispamsis, NB, husband of the late Valorie (McKnight) McAfee, occurred on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Quispamsis, on March 6, 1928, he was the son of the late George and Ada (Johnston) McAfee. George was employed with Sherwin Williams, and then owned his own milk business for many years. He enjoyed semi-retirement as a school bus driver. He loved gardening, cards and sports, particularly the New York Yankees. Survived by his children; Christopher (Cheryl) of Ontario, Leslie Reid of Quispamsis, David (Beth) of Ontario, and Kelley Piercy (David) of Quispamsis, grandchildren; Amanda, Robin, Bradley, Devin, Erin, and Wilson, great grandchildren; Alyssa and Maryah. Besides his wife, George was predeceased by his sisters; Jean Wiggins, Lois Stafford, Ann-Marie Hargrove, Allison J. "Joey" McMillan. Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) with visiting on Saturday, January 17, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral Service will be held at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, January 18, 2015 at 2:00PM. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
