Obituary of Carl Hanson

Hanson, Carl - The death of Carl Hanson, of Quispamsis, NB, husband of Ann (Ward) Hanson, occurred on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on September 28, 1945 in Billingham, England, he was the son of the late Matthew and Margorie (Peace) Hanson. Carl was employed as a pipefitter with Local 213 for several years until his retirement. He loved his time with his family and friends and loved being Papa to his grandchildren. He was a dedicated "football" player, coach and spectator. Besides his wife, Carl is survived by his son Steve (Mary-Lou), daughter Joanne Hanson, both of Quispamsis, grandchildren, Courtney, Matthew and Emelia. Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) with visiting on Monday from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, followed by a Memorial Service to take place at 1:00 PM from Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home Chapel. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
