Obituary of Frederick Roy Langstroth

The death of Frederick "Rick" Roy Langstroth occurred on Monday, May 18, 2015 at Mill Cove Nursing Home. Born on January 22, 1952, in Saint John, he was a son of Frederick M.C. and the late Treva (Buttland) Langstroth. Rick was an avid outdoorsman, working as a woodsman for several years. Besides his family, Rick loved country music. Survived by his brothers; Leslie (Ann) of Quispamsis, NB, Edward (Karen) of Quispamsis, Michael (Karen) of Springfield, NB, and Donald of Mill Cove, NB, sisters; Sherry Deuville of Damascus, NB, Gail Sanders (Rob) of Calgary, AB, Bonnie Kellar (John) of Hampton, NB, and Kathy Cunningham (Ron) of Titusville, NB, as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his mother, Rick was predeceased by his brother-in-law Stuart Hanlin. The family wishes to express their thanks and appreciation to the staff of Mill Cove Nursing Home for their care and compassion for Rick all these years. At Rick's request there will be no visitation. Memorial Service will be held at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119), on Friday, May 22, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Interment to take place at St. Andrew's Anglican Cemetery, French Village. Remembrances may be made to the Parkinson's Society of Canada.
