Our deepest sympathy to Glen, Richel, Nicole and to all the Gnazdowsky family. Andrew was a gem, a parents wish for their daughter. He brought so much happiness into Allison's life. He taught her many new life experiences - one in which we thought not possible - she learned to change her own tires from Andrew. He got her to Cuba on one of the worse winter storms so she could be with her family on vacation. He gave her a Montreal Canadiens jersey to wear for a supper meal at our house knowing Tom is a die hard Leaf fan. Andrew almost got tossed out. He reunited our love of board games and witnessed his future sister in-law, Caitlynn, competitiveness.
Today the tributes to Andrew were beautiful. They described him to a tee. We will cherish the moments we had with Andrew and carry those memories with us forever. We loved him very much and we'll miss his smile, his laugh, his swagger. He was one of a kind. Rest In Peace Andrew

I was so devastated to hear about the passing of Andy! I want to send my condolences to Glen, Richel, Nicole, Allison and all other family members who are grieving!
Andy was and will always be my very first friend! We had lots of great and funny memories together that I will forever cherish! When we were young we'd play in his backyard swinging around our yayas (big wooden sticks) and fighting off imaginary bad guys or creatures. I remember cruising around the neighborhood on our bikes everyday in the summer, Andy always had no fear of hitting the biggest jumps even if I was timid to. Even though I was older by a few months, I always looked up to Andy as he always defied the odds that were set against him! He was truly an inspiration to any person who's life he touched. His happiness, generioustity, genuinity, and constant jokes made him one of the greatest people to be around.
Andy will continue to have a lasting impact on my life forever and will always have a place in my heart! I'll meet you at the crossroads someday, my old friend. Love you bro!

Today is the day of your funeral. We woke up with fog outside which is strange for Burlington as we never have fog here, it reminded me of Rothesay. Now it’s a beautiful sunny day and we just finished watching your funeral virtually. Oh how I wish we could be there.
Andy was a brother to our three girls, Rika, Meron, Teona. Such a beautiful fun loving boy who turned into such a compassionate, strong, funny, kind, genuine, inspiring young man. Such great memories Andy, a joy watching you grow up as you always remained true to yourself. The laughs we had, your smile so contagious. You lived your life to the fullest, you tried everything from gymnastics to soccer to hockey and swimming, guitar lessons and dance...yes dance. Did I miss anything? I’m sure I did. Don’t focus on what you can’t do, focus on what you can.
Growing up so much fun camping with our families so many adventures, hikes, crazy bike rides with the dads (remember when Dawit fell off into the bog), campfires and rocks to throw. Every day exploring. There was a lot of girl power around you but you always held your own. Playing together making forts, playing cards and board games. Getting into mischief in our backyards. Do we need to talk about the annual Christmas tree burning in the spring? Glen put that dry old tree on top of the van to get to our back yard ...how big that fire would get.
After we moved we still got together for family vacations summer cook outs in your parents backyards and boys golf tournaments.
It was beautiful watching your life come together. You found your girl Allison, bought your house and enjoyed all the pets. You had your own patio to have cookouts now.
Oh Andy the fun memories we have, I am so glad. We will hold on to them forever and share them. You have such an impact on out family. We lost a son and our girls lost a brother.
Glen, Richel and Nicole, we are heartbroken. We will get through this together. Every minute of every hour of every day. We are there for you. I can’t wait to hug you.
With all our love. The Kebede’s ( Dawit, Tineke, Rika,Trevor, Meron and Teona)

Andy was a bright light since the moment we met him. I will never forget the wonderful memories I have of Andy & Nicole and my girls getting into mischief. It was always an adventure. I have lots of favourite memories of Andy but a couple of the best; the time he dressed up as Anne of Green Gables for a picture and Andy singing along to Mika at the top of his lungs. He as so full of life and laughter such a great personality!
Hold on tight to all the wonderful memories you have of Andy!
May God hold you all close.

When Andy was going to university in Saskatooon I could not wait for February to come around because I knew Andy was going to come up to Edmonton for mid term break and I would always wonder what kind of mischief we would get into. We would go to concerts (which also included us getting stuck in an elevator and Andy turning to me and said “don’t worry uncle Lew this happened to me before and we would laugh”), waterparks, hockey games, and even an escape to Las Vegas. When he would head back to Saskatoon I would always wait because as soon as he got out of the city he would call me and we would recap the high lite of our adventures and started planning our next misadventures. He was not only my nephew but my best friend. My deepest sympathy goes out to Glen, Richel, Nicole, and Allison. He will be missed. Vichnaya Pam’yat – eternal peace to you Andy.

Richel, Glen and Nicole; we were incredibly saddened to hear of Andy’s passing. It is way too early. We have some great memories of Andy that we will now cherish even more. We remember Andy as an adventurous, fun-loving, happy and, not least, rugged boy. A lot of these memories are the fun the boys had on their bikes; building ramps (and then crashing on them) and then graduating to Rockwood Park on their mountain bikes. We can’t pass the Irving Nature Park without remembering the time we took the boys there to fly their new kites. It was pretty tame until Andy’s kite ran through all its string and flew off. The boys had a great laugh watching me sprinting through the marsh trying to catch his kite. Andy was a special person and we are praying for you during this extremely sad time.

So very sorry to hear of this news. My heart goes out to the Gnazdowsky family.
I remember the day I met Andrew in front of the old fish tank at KV High and he asked if I knew his sister Nicole. I never seen such a big smile of a persons face. He was sure proud of his big sister!
RIP Andrew

Condolenses to ALL for your loss. ANDREW was in his early teens when he greeted us on a visit with his family,
He was so welcoming that Roy Buyers and I knew we'd remember him forever. To those who gave him love, he is
blessed. He was, and, is a beautiful man; and, a grand "great-nephew." Love to all, Stefi Bagan-Gnazdowsky

My deepest condolences to Glen, Richel, Nicole and family. I was praying this wasn’t true when I heard it, I’m at a loss for words. Andy was a childhood friend of mine playing basketball and working at sobeys in our teens. He was an exemplary human and this obituary described him to a tee.
“Anyone who could see past his differences had an opportunity to be part of an incredible journey. Andrew taught us all how to live -- how to love life to the fullest, to be in the moment, and to find the beauty in everything around us.”
You’re with the other angels now brother I’ll see you on the other side ❤️

Andy was the brightest light, the kindest soul, and the best of friends. He could turn a whole room full of people into fits of laughter with his silly jokes and even more silly dance moves. He was so loving and selfless. Andy made coming home to NB for me all that much more exciting because I knew we’d get to hang out. I’ll forever cherish the times we had floating down the Hammond River, the hockey games we watched, the hot tub nights we shared, and the beers we drank together. You were one of my very best friends and my heart breaks knowing that we won’t get to share more memories together. Cheers to you, Andy. I'll miss you buddy.
Sending my love to Richel, Glen, Nicole, Allison, Andy's extended family, and all of the people who were so lucky to have known Andy.

Andrew was the sweetest kindest funniest, most unique, loveable, caring, compassionate, young man. I had the privilege of teaching him English in grade 8. He was so smart and full of mischief. We always enjoyed a good laugh together. He was special to me and when I heard he was dating my niece, I was overjoyed that he would be coming part of our family. We welcomed him with open arms. His laugh, his cooking, his dancing and singing, and making my niece the happiest girl in the world will never be forgotten. Just over a week ago I had the pleasure of eating the best smoked pork roast I ever ate. Playing games followed that wonderful meal and the laughs we all had, of course due to Andrew. He was hilarious, funny, loved beyond measure. An angel taken way too soon. Rest in Peace my friend. I will miss you dearly. Rest assured that we will get Ali through this. Till we meet again ..Cheers my forever friend.
