Allyson, Lauren, Josh and family, please accept my heartfelt condolences. Gerald was a man with incredible character who knew his purpose and stayed true to himself. I worked with him for many years and admired his creative genius; his poems and his way with words will be missed as well as his sense of humour and undeniable energy and passion for what he believed in. He was a natural leader in the realm of union activism and worked hard to make life better both in and out of the workplace for his brothers and sisters of local 362, many of us learned so much from his passion for making things right and fair, and will always be grateful for that. ♥️

Allyson & family,
I wanted to convey my deepest sympathy on Gerald's passing. It has been some years since I last seen and talked with 'Stack', after moving to Charlottetown in 2006. Still, Gerald's qualities are enduring; passionate, generous, loyal and funny as hell. My memories of Gerald stretch from working summers at Moosehead, various golf courses, Travis's garage/camp and unbelievable road trips! He was a great friend/guy and will be missed by many, but none more than you. I am so sorry for your loss.
Take Care,
Brian Hurley

Sincerest condolences to Allyson, Josh, Lauren and all of Gerald's family, friends and Moosehead family. Can't imagine the pain and loss that you are all feeling. Gerald and I go way back and I'm not even sure how we met. Either through friends at Moosehead or as team mates in touch football. He was always a great friend and a great teammate and competitor. He was also one of the funniest guys around when he got going and I'll remember Gerald with a smile on my face. I'm sure many glasses will be raised in his honor and memory and mine will be one of them. Cheers old friend!

I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Gerald's sudden passing. Although it has been quite some time since I last saw him, I have many fond memories of family visits to New Brunswick and time spent with you all. What stands out most in all my memories of Gerald - going as far back as I can remember - was his infectious energy and sense of humour. Allyson and family,my thoughts and prayers have gone out to you daily since I heard of my friends passing. What truly sad and shocking news.in a short few years, since Gerald joined the Hampton golf club we became close friends and golfing buddies. Gerald was kind, witty, friendly, and so much fun to be around. Gerald would light up the room or club deck upon his arrival
He was not shy and we all looked forward to his company and swaping stories over a pop at the club. And oh how he liked to tell us stories. He was also a talented golfer and he made our rounds so much fun.I can't forget the first time I ever met Gerald at the club.Allyson I hope this brings a moment of laughter in this deeply sad time.Having never met the man before we happened to be in the club washroom at the same time.Men typically do their business and get out of there. Not my buddy Gerald.Eager to make new friends at the club,he sticks out his hand and says "hello I'm Gerald Stack and I just joined the club". I thought geez this is a weird place to introduce yourself. And mostly as we shook hands I was thinking "I hope he washed this hand"..lol.But that was a snapshot of Gerald my buddy to be..happy and friendly.
I'm going to miss you buddy.
God Bless you Allyson and family.
