To Matthew’s mother and family:
I want to express heartfelt condolences to you over Matthew’s passing. I also want to express gratitude, because for a short time I got to be part of his life, as one of his pharmacists. I’ve since moved to another practice area but I will never forgot this fine young man.
He may not even have remembered me but I remember him. He was such a special person. I can hear him chirp me about calling him “special” , right now. We had some conversations about life on occasion, sharing bits about each other. From those interactions I quickly understood how charismatic and intelligent he was, how deeply he felt life, and how he had a wicked sense of humour.
He didn’t offer it up easily but eventually I think (hope) he trusted the confidence we shared. I think he knew I was always honest and direct with him and I felt he reciprocated that. That means a great deal to me.
It was clear to everyone at the pharmacy that Matthew was fiercely protected and loved by his family, especially his mother. Even from my vantage point, I can share with you that Matthew loved his mother and family very much, right back.
I’m so, so, sorry about this news but i hope you carry forward the love you shared. Matthew, I want you to know my life is better for having met you. I will remember the lessons you taught me as a pharmacist and I will carry them with me for the rest of my life,
Dr Kevin McLaughlin
Pharmacist (Shopper’s Quispamsis)

My sincerest condolences go out to the entire McInnis family. I was shocked to learn of Matt’s passing.
Matt was always very friendly and mild-mannered. We attended King’s church together for the last few years and him and I often shared our new tattoos with each other whenever I bumped into him.
Gone but never forgotten, rest in peace brother.

Matt is a childhood friend of mine. We grew up playing hockey together before becoming roommates in junior. We spent a lot of time with one another and I will never forget all of the laughs we shared with one another.
Through thick and thin buddy, I’ll miss you lots.
