Obituary of Florena Pearl Moore
Florena (Flo) Pearl Moore, of Rothesay, wife of the late Herbert A. Moore, passed away on March 23rd, 2013 at Turnbull Nursing Home.
Born in Sea View, PEI, on August 6,1922, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Edna (Stewart) Adams. She was employed at Kennebecasis Drug Store for 14 years.
Flo is survived by her three boys, Barry (Lois) of Grimsby Ontario, Wayne (Maureen) of Gondola Point NB, and Ronald (Beth) of Quispamsis NB. She was also blessed with seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; Steven (Shelly) Moore (great grandchildren Kamryn and Nolan) of Brantford Ontario, Amy (Brad) Appel (great grandchildren Tyler and Josh) of Grimsby Ontario, Cheryl (Mark) Stiles (great grandchildren Will and Addison) of Quispamsis NB, Kristen (Jon) Wentzell of Halifax NS, Stephanie Moore of Halifax NS, Robyn Moore (great grandchild Devyn) of Quispamsis NB and Tim (Daniela) Moore (great grandchildren Briana and Rene) of Surrey BC.
Flo is also survived by her sister Ruby (John) Toombs of Mayfield PEI, brothers; Clarence and Bloyce Adams of Sea View PEI, sister in-laws Jean, Natalie and Denise, also many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brothers; Stewart, Louis, Walter, Keith, Clayton, Robert, sister in laws Catherine, Phyllis and nieces Alice (Adams) Dixon, Brenda (Toombs) Killorn and Patsy Adams.
Although there will be no visitation, family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service, which will be held from Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119), on Wednesday, March 27th at 11:00am, with a reception to follow. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
