I am deeply saddened to hear of Darrel's passing. We were friends in our early teen years and Darrel made a distinct impression on me with his sense of humour, good nature and respect & compassion for everyone. Even though I seldom saw Darrel, he often came to mind throughout the years. He will surely rest in peace and may God bless and bring consolation to his loved ones. He was one of the very best.

Dear Lee, I was very sorry to read in today's paper of Darrell's passing. Joyce and I often reminisced about the delightful evening that we spent with the two of you at your B & B in PEI when we celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary- and that you not only upgraded us to your best room, but also upgraded us to first class on our flight home. What great memories! I knew that Darrell had cancer when we last saw the two of you at his Dad's visitation, but he continued to have such a positive attitude. Joyce also succumbed to the same type of cancer last year after an eleven year battle. I'd like to think that the two of them are now sitting in heaven having a wonderful conversation. With deep sympathy. Don

Dear Lee and family, I wanted to express to you my sincere condolences on Darrell's passing. It wasn't too long ago that he called me to see how I was doing. We had a really nice chat and I really appreciated the call. I know from experience that the next while will be rough for you, but remember to count on your friends and family. Don't be afraid to ask for help. I told my girls and both Janine (Hamilton) and Holly (Toronto) both wrote back right away about how sorry to hear this news. They both mentioned about remembering that we visited you when we took out trip down east. You were living in PEI at the time. I'm sure that Guy and Darrell are having a grand time together now. Take care of yourself. With kindest regards. Marion Tschirhart
